A fire broke out Thursday in the South Park neighborhood of Los Angeles and spread into a detached garage before firefighters quickly knocked down the flames.
The blaze was reported about 8:55 a.m. in the 100 block of E. 49th Street, just east of Main Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fifty firefighters contained the fire in 12 minutes, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes, the department said.
No occupants were found and no injuries were reported, according to the LAFD.
Crews remained on scene for mop-up operations.
