A South Carolina inmate is now accused of using a contraband cell phone in prison in a murder-for-hire scheme.
Darrell Kasey Williams, 33, is charged as an accessory in connection with the May 6, 2020, murder of De'Andre Rivers. Latest Forecast

North Charleston police said at the time of the crime, Williams was an inmate at the prison in Bennettsville.
Investigators say he illegally used a contraband cell phone to hire and pay Quinton Taylor to carry out the killing.
The calls arranging the murder took place in April and May 2020.
Williams was arrested on Aug. 25 and was taken from the prison to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Quinton Taylor was arrested on May 8, 2020, and charged with Rivers’ murder.
