Frisco Roughriders righthander David Davalillo has been named the Texas League Pitcher of the Month for August, it was announced today.

Davalillo, who turns 23 later this month, made five starts for the Roughriders in August, allowing five runs in 24.2 IP, striking out 23 batters and walking just 8. He has split the season between high-A Hub City and AA Frisco and has, weirdly enough, put up a 2.12 ERA for Frisco in 46.2 IP and a 2.12 ERA in 51 innings for Hub City. For the year he has 113 Ks against 26 walks.

Davalillo spent the 2024 season between low-A and high-A, putting up a 1.88 ERA between the two levels in 110.1 IP.

Round Rock pitcher Trey Supak, meanwhile, was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Month for August. The 29 year old put up a 1.35 ERA in 33.1 innings over
