LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Spirit Airlines announced Thursday that it's discontinuing service to 11 cities to focus on its strongest performing markets.
This comes on the heels of the budget carrier filing for bankruptcy protection a week ago, just months after emerging from a Chapter 11 reorganization. Spirit CEO and President Dave Davis said the company is focused on reducing debt and raising capital.
The air carrier is discontinuing service to the following 11 cities. The eight cities in bold have service to and from Las Vegas. • Albuquerque • Birmingham • Boise • Chattanooga • Columbia • Oakland • Portland • Sacramento • Salt Lake City • San Diego • San Jose
According to a statement released by Spirit Airlines, services to those cities will stop the week of Oct. 2, 20
