NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) -- Student enrollment continues to grow at Illinois State University.

21,994 students are enrolled for the fall 2025 semester at ISU, spokesman Chris Coplan said.

He said this is 448 more students compared to last year's record enrollment. This also marks four years of consecutive growth.

The university's total student population includes 19,513 undergraduates and 2,481 graduate students, Coplan said.

He also said the increased enrollment is thanks to a focused effort to improve the Redbird experience through new programs that meet student and employer expectations. It is also due to expanded student support resources and engagement opportunities.
