A lakefront mansion listed for more than $30 million in a Chicago suburb has reportedly set a record with its sale price after more than a year on the market.

The Winnetka estate known as the "Windsor House," a 2.3-acre property listed for $35 million, has officially sold for $31.25 million.

That's a record, marking the "highest-priced home resale in Chicago-area history," according to the Chicago Tribune.

Listing agent Jena Radnay called it a "one-of-a-kind situation" and described the sale as "seamless from one generation into another."

"Everything kind of fell into place for all the right reasons," she told NBC Chicago.

The home was first listed in August 2024, described as "the most iconic lakefront estate in IL," according to its listing .
