SEDALIA, Mo - A warrant has been issued for a Sedalia man in a Pettis County stealing case.
According to a probable cause statement, on April 8th the Pettis County Sheriff's Office opened a case against 41-year-old Christopher Albert Vieth after a property owner claimed he had contracted with Vieth to perform garage door work at his property. However, Vieth had never done any of the work and the property owner had been unable to make further contact with him.
Vieth had previously wrote an invoice for the work for $4,700 in January. The victim had written a check for $2,350 directly to Vieth on February 3rd. He was able to provide an invoice with the payment receipt of the check and a copy of the check. The copy included Vieth's signature and thumbprint.
