NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – The seasons are soon changing in New York City.

Rockefeller Center’s outdoor plaza will soon turn into a winter wonderland. The ice skating rink will open for its 89th season on Oct. 11, representatives announced Thursday.

Tickets are now available online for general and VIP skate sessions and “Après Skate Chalets.” Tickets cost between $22 and $124 for a regular 60-minute session and up to $224 for VIP entry. Skate rentals are an additional $12. To buy tickets ahead of opening, click here.

Summer is not quite over yet – New York City still has until Sept. 22. Before the rink opens, you can still get outside at the city’s first outdoor restaurant week or a free flower market at 30 Rock.
