Some 947 people were declared homeless in the Hamilton area during 2024-25, but the numbers have fallen.
This accounts for 38 per cent of the South Lanarkshire total of 2467.
The numbers emerged at Wednesday's meeting of the Hamilton Area Committee.
As of March 31, the number of households awaiting their offer of housing in the Hamilton division was 663, accounting for 43 per cent of the South Lanarkshire total of 1543.
This is a four per cent reduction in the number of homeless households awaiting their offer of housing as of March 31 last year.
As of the same period, there were 350 households in temporary accommodation in the Hamilton division, accounting for 44 per cent of the South Lanarkshire total of 798 households.
