Hogtied dog abandoned in Ruskin manages to hop to safety; owner sought

RUSKIN, Fla. (WWSB) - Hillsborough County Animal Control is looking for the person who tied a dog’s legs together and left it on the side of a road in Ruskin.

Authorities say someone tied the dog’s front legs together and back legs together before abandoning it.

The dog apparently managed to free its front legs and hobble to a nearby home, where it was discovered by the homeowner, who called animal control.

The dog is now at the county’s Pet Resource Center. Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the dog or knows anything about the incident to call them at 813-301-7387.
