An Edinburgh police dog helped arrest a man who had 'assaulted retail workers and possessed weapons'.
This came as officers held a retail day of action in Leith , focusing on retail crime in the area. Three arrests were made, with the help of PD Asher.
One male had 10 court warrants, including retail theft, assaulting retail workers, and possession of weapons. He was also found in possession of stolen property , which is subject to further enquiry.
A second male was arrested in the Newkirkgate on a court warrant for retail theft, and held in custody. A third male was arrested for breaching court bail conditions by being at the Newkirkgate.
