Toronto Blue Jays fans could wind up seeing pitcher Trey Yesavage in the big leagues way sooner than anybody had projected .
Ranked as the best prospect in the Blue Jays system and the 25th prospect in all of baseball, Yesavage has quickly risen in the ranks of the minor leagues this season and has recently been appearing out of the bullpen for Triple-A Buffalo. In his last three outings, he’s pitched 12.1 innings while giving up just four earned runs and an incredible 19 strikeouts.
Yesavage projects as a starting pitcher in the future, but at just 22 years old, he is a solid option for the bullpen. In fact, his strong performance coming out of the pen in Triple-A has many calling for him to be called up to the Blue Jays before the end of the season.
