BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont man accused of sexually assaulting at least four women over a six-year span is in custody after a joint investigation by the Texas Rangers and the Beaumont Police Department.
Eric J. Gipson Sr., 40, was indicted Aug. 20 by a Jefferson County grand jury on two counts of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault. He was arrested the following day outside his workplace, authorities said in a news release.
Investigators said Gipson’s alleged crimes date back to 2018, with assaults also reported in 2019, 2020 and 2024. DNA evidence from the most recent case was submitted to the Combined DNA Index System, or CODIS.
