AN influencer who vanished on a jet ski trip was tragically found dead as cops probe "suspicious" circumstances.

Jaqueline Barbosa Nascimento, 22, disappeared last Sunday while on a day out with new friends.

Firefighters recovered her body from the Igaratá dam near São Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday.

Her body was sadly identified at the scene by her mother.

Cops are investigating her death as "suspicious", despite initial saying that it was an accident.

Nascimento had been with two other friends on the jet ski trip.

While the both gave statements to police , their accounts contradicted each other.

Security footage from a nearby property is currently being reviewed amid the probe .
