Philadelphia 76ers play-by-play announcer Kate Scott is set to make history when she calls a Pittsburgh Steelers game later this month.

The Athletic reports that Westwood One -- the official network audio broadcast partner of the NFL -- has assigned Scott as the play-by-play announcer for the Steelers vs. Vikings game on Sept. 28 in Dublin, Ireland.

When Scott calls that game, she will become the first female play-by-play announcer to call an NFL regular-season game for Westwood One. She will be partnered with former Vikings tight end and Notre Dame star Kyle Rudolph on the broadcast.

In addition to her role as the TV play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers, Scott is also the preseason play-by-play announcer for the Seattle Seahawks. Now she is set to call her first regular
