OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Wildfire smoke will continue to cause hazy skies and affect air quality. The Air Quality Index will likely stay in the Moderate (Level 2) category. Smoke will gradually move southward tonight as a cold front moves in from the north.
The cold front will also bring chances of showers tonight starting after 6pm. The spotty t-showers will start out north of I-80 then move toward the metro after 9 PM. There greatest potential is on the Iowa side of the area and don’t be surprised by an isolated strong storm with some wind and hail. Overall most storms should stay weak if they develop.
Southwest wind gusts to 25 mph will flip and become northwest overnight and could touch 30 mph while you sleep.
