AURORA | An unidentified motorcycle rider died Wednesday night when he crashed broadside into a car while racing with another motorcycle rider on a northeast Aurora street, police said.

Police were called to the 19500 block of East 38th Avenue at about 10 p.m. after reports of a car crash there.

“When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult male motorcycle rider who was deceased at the scene,” Aurora Police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement.

Police said an initial investigation revealed that a motorist in a Kia Seltos was driving east on 38th Avenue was making a “legal” U-turn when the crash occurred.
