PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A portion of Thomas Road is closed in west Phoenix after a deadly crash overnight.
The crash happened just before 4 a.m. near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road .
A witness told Arizona’s Family a man was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when several vehicles were approaching. According to the witness, one of the vehicles did not slow down, hit the man and left the scene.
When Phoenix Police arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the man may have been hit by several vehicles, and at least one stayed at the scene.
Police closed Thomas Road between 27th Avenue and 31st Avenue for the investigation into this crash. Drivers should use alternate streets.
