The Port Huron Police Department has donated one of its police cruisers to help a new public safety program for students.

The St. Clair County Technical Education Center is starting a new law and public safety program this fall based at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, next to the Port Huron Fire Department's Central Fire Station.

The program for St. Clair County's high school juniors and seniors will allow students to learn about law enforcement, emergency response, firefighting and dispatch operations.
