EVANSVILLE — As Evansville police raced to track down who could have killed well-known realtor Susan Haynie inside her East Side home on Aug. 27, a series of recent break-ins in Haynie’s otherwise quiet neighborhood caught investigators' attention.
Haynie, 74, was found dead in her East Gum Street home's basement in what police this week classified as a homicide . Officials have not charged a suspect in Haynie's killing, but Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers told a local court Thursday a man arrested in connection with the nearby break-ins, Jamerus Perrale Parkman, was also "a suspect in a murder case."
Parkman, 35, is being held without bond at the Vanderburgh County jail.
