IOWA CITY — Former Iowa football star Jay Higgins joined the Register's Tyler Tachman to discuss making the Baltimore Ravens' 2025 opening night roster.
The Ravens play on the road against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 7, with kickoff scheduled for 7:20 pm (CT).
Higgins talks about the emotions of earning a spot on the roster after going undrafted, his mindset moving forward and provides insight on what it takes to win at Jack Trice Stadium ahead of the 2025 Cy-Hawk rivalry. Iowa football plays at Iowa State on Sept. 6. Higgins was a member of two Hawkeye teams (2021 and 2023) that won in Ames.

"There were so many guys who were deserving to make the team," Higgins said. "But definitely happy
