PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Portland bottle drop organization that operates under the Morrison Bridge has found a potential permanent home in Southeast Portland.

The People's Depot, a program that collects beverage containers, unveiled the prospective site in an August 28 press release. The organization says the site -- at 1041 SE Brooklyn Street in Southeast Portland -- will allow them to serve more canners and recycle more containers in a safe indoor environment.

“We look forward to positively engaging with nearby residents and businesses,” said Taylor Cass Talbott, co-executive director of Ground Score Association, which oversees The People's Depot. “We are confident The People’s Depot will be a good neighbor and contribute positively to the Brooklyn neighborhood and the city of Portlan
