BIG SKY — The newest edition to Big Sky Resort will be an observation platform atop 11,166-foot-high Lone Peak with a glass floor sure to make everyone’s stomach flutter.

What’s more, thanks to the installation of a new gondola, anyone — whether they ski or not — can enjoy, or fear, the attraction.

Cantilevered off the mountain’s edge, the Kircliff alpine summit observatory is a glass enclosure that offers sweeping 360-degree views across three states and two national parks.
