PUNTA GORDA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Two people were arrested after they allegedly left a bag holding 25 grams of cocaine at the front desk of a hotel in Punta Gorda.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the Wyvem Hotel in the 100 block of East Retta Esplanade Aug. 17.
Two hotel employees said a frequent guest identified as Kristofer Matos came out of an elevator at about 9:30 a.m. with a woman, and had a short conversation with the receptionist before leaving.
The receptionist noted Matos left an orange Crown Royal bag and a turquoise hat on the desk counter.
At 10:25, a.m., the receptionist picked up the items to keep them in a back office. The orange bag was partially open and the employee saw what she thought were illegal drugs. The hotel employees then call
