CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Artificial intelligence has made its way into the classroom. At Cambridge Central School, the middle and high school librarian is teaching ninth graders how to use it responsibly.

“We’re going to look at the ethics of AI, what constitutes cheating versus assistance or reteaching. We're gonna look at the environmental impact of AI, how AI can spread misinformation and perpetuate bias,” said Minette Cummings.

The goal is to get students to think about the positives and negatives of using artificial intelligence. Teachers can also use it in their classes. “The focus is on training teachers to use AI to help with creation of engaging assignments and authentic assessments but also then we want to move towards using it more in the classroom as a study tool or reteachi
