Ahead of Alex Pereira's upcoming rematch with Magomed Ankalaev on the UFC 320 card, the former light heavyweight champion has confirmed that he will in fact move up to heavyweight, "eventually."

During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show this week, Poatan indicated that when the time is right, he will listen to his body and make the move up to heavyweight.

Although fans have long held interest in seeing Pereira attempt to be the first fighter to capture UFC gold in three divisions, the former champ explained to Helwani that he didn't consider moving up to heavyweight following his UFC 313 loss.
