KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Royals pitcher Seth Lugo was scheduled to start Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels entering the week.

Lugo’s anticipated Thursday start was instead skipped, and left-hander Noah Cameron will start for the Royals as the 35-year-old was placed on the injured list Thursday.

The Royals announced that Lugo was placed on the 15-day injured list due to a lower back strain.

In a corresponding move, right-handed pitcher Stephen Kolek was recalled from Triple-A Omaha. Kolek made a start for the Royals on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers, going 6 innings and allowing 4 hits and 1 earned run in a 3-1 Royals win.
