Reporting to Rebecca Blumenstein , NBC News president, editorial, Gillespie was most recently a journalism director at Microsoft’s Trusted Technology Group. She has also held multiple roles at The Associated Press, including global business editor, deputy managing editor, U.S. news, and deputy sports editor. Gillespie begins her new assignment on Monday, September 29.
