LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - A southern Kentucky city council will consider impeaching its mayor on Friday morning.

The hearing will take place in London at the Laurel County Judicial Center on Main Street. Mayor Randall Weddle is facing various allegations from the city council in the Laurel County seat.

The city council could fill the role of the jury, with various allegations aired that Mayor Weddle abused his power.

The hearing follows several heated meetings between the council and mayor. On Friday it will take all six members to agree to impeach to remove Weddle from office.
