Meet the spotted fanaloka - a nocturnal carnivore native to Madagascar. A female spotted fanaloka pup was born at the Music City’s zoo on August 24, and she made her social media debut Thursday afternoon.

A Facebook post from the facility said the pup’s species is vulnerable and rare, with the Nashville Zoo being the only one in the U.S. to care for the small creature. There are only four facilities on the planet that care for spotted fanalokas, the zoo reported.
