The Seattle Seahawks will introduce new security protocols for the 2025 NFL season as they look to clamp down on unruly fan behavior at home games.

Seattle has announced that it will install undercover police officers in the crowd beginning in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. These officers will wear opposing team jerseys so they can better detect and respond to disruptive behavior.

The decision comes on the back of the NFL sending a memo to all 32 teams asking them to beef up security following the mass shooting at their head office in New York.

It’s said to be designed to enforce the Seahawks’ Code of Conduct, which prohibits behavior such as offensive language, intoxication, physical intimidation, and failure to follow instructions from stadium personnel.
