Effective September 4, 2025, a Fire Advisory is in place for all of Lacombe County due to warm temperatures, windy conditions, and a lack of anticipated precipitation in the coming days.
At this time, Lacombe County continues to issue fire permits for minor burns; however, permits for large-scale burn activities will not be approved until conditions improve.
Minor burns are less than 500 sq. ft. or approximately 50 m2.
What is permitted during a Fire Advisory?
A Fire Advisory signals an increased fire danger rating, and fire permit approvals may be restricted. Safe campfires are still permitted in Lacombe County.
The following activities are allowed during the Fire Advisory:
• Minor burns, as per conditions of the fire permit.
• Recreation fires*
• Portable propane fire pits
• Gas
