CANFIELD You may be one of those people who curse construction zones when you drive through one. However, a wrong turn in a construction zone has paid off handsomely for a Mahoning County couple. A detour that led them to the Sheetz gas station on Route 224 and Raccoon Road in Canfield resulted in a $1 million Powerball win.

The couple, who have chosen to remain anonymous, told the Ohio Lottery that they were spreading out their ticket purchases at four different retailers Wednesday evening, a strategy they use when the Powerball jackpot grows. Their last stop was an unplanned one.
