HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 70-year-old man accused of setting two wildfires last month appeared in court Thursday.
Antonio Vierra pleaded not guilty to a second-degree arson charge in connection to a fire that sparked Aug. 23 in Kunia .
He is out on $50,000 bail.
A jury trial is scheduled to begin in November.
Vierra was also arrested on suspicion of arson for another fire at Puaena Point Beach park in Haleiwa that broke out on Aug. 23.
He was released the next day pending further investigation in that case.
