TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Angel Charity for Children is preparing for its 22nd annual "The Big Deal Poker Party" happening this month.
The event will take place on Sept. 19 at the Tucson Country Club, 2950 N. Camino Principal. Attendees can expect to see a night of Texas Hold’em, casino games, karaoke, and entertainment, all aimed at supporting local causes.
This year, Angel Charity will distribute $1.75 million to its beneficiaries, with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona and San Miguel High School receiving a combined $1.4 million grant.
Vicky Curtis, 2025 general chair, emphasized the event's impact, saying, “The evening isn’t just about raising funds, it’s about creating opportunities and changing lives for the nonprofits we’re funding this year in Pima County.”
