Free car seat safety checks this weekend in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - This weekend, multiple agencies will be teaming up to make sure your car seat is safely attached.

As a part of Drive Smart Pueblo, the Pueblo Police Department, Pueblo Fire Department and Colorado State Patrol will be holding free car seat safety checks this Saturday.

The car seat checks will be conducted at the new Pueblo Fire Station 11 on West 24th Street.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 1 p.m.

Pueblo Police said technicians will check the car seat, let caregivers know if their children are in the right seat for their age and size and show them how to install the seat correctly.
