SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The University of Illinois Springfield is inviting community members and alumni to join the fun of its annual Homecoming festivities.
UIS shared in a Sept. 3 press release that this year's Homecoming festivities will take place Sept. 14-20, with the theme, "Written in the Stars."
Most events will be open to the public, unless stated otherwise.
Events on Friday, Sept. 19, will include a groundbreaking for the new Library Commons Building at 1:30 p.m., a Pep Rally Block Party at 3 p.m. south of the Student Union, a Friday Night Star Party at 8 p.m. on the Brookens Library Roof, and Homecoming fireworks and bonfire at 9 p.m.
