Former Iowa women's basketball star Caitlin Clark will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season, the Indiana Fever announced on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Clark was sidelined with a groin injury on July 15 and later suffered a bone bruise during her recovery, a statement from the Fever said. During her second season in the WNBA, the former Hawkeye played in 13 games and averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists.

“Caitlin has worked so hard throughout this time, doing everything possible to recover and return to the court but, ultimately, time is not on our side,” Indiana Fever COO and GM Amber Cox said in a statement. “While we will continue working with Caitlin and provide her with every resource we have available, there is not enough time left in our season for her to safely re
