The fourth iteration of a summer crime-fighting partnership between the New Orleans Police Department and Louisiana State Police netted 60 felony arrests, 38 misdemeanor arrests and 18 fugitive arrests over the past month, NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said Thursday.

Joined at police headquarters by State Police Col. Robert Hodges, FBI Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Tapp and Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrell, Kirkpatrick praised the multi-agency push, called Operation Golden Eagle. Tapp said the program was "in line" with the FBI's "top priority: crushing violent crime."
