HUNTINGTON, W.Va. –A Detroit man with an extensive criminal history, including a federal conviction, was arrested Thursday on drug charges in Huntington.
Daniel “Bam” Leggette, 49, was wanted on a warrant for felony delivery of a controlled substance.
According to police, he was arrested after a brief foot chase in the Marcum Terrace neighborhood. That chase led authorities to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Oakland Avenue, where Leggette was living.
During their search, officers seized a gun, cocaine, crack cocaine fentanyl.
Leggette’s criminal history includes two prior convictions for drug trafficking, as well as a federal conviction for which he served a 90-month sentence. He was released on federal parole in the spring of 2025 after being granted clemen
