CHARLESTON, Ark. — A Charleston man has pleaded not guilty to attempted first-degree murder after authorities said he headbutted and ran over another man with his truck in August.
On Sept. 3, 58-year-old Darrin Brown pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, second-degree battery, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree interference with emergency communication, according to court records.
The Franklin County deputies were called around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 15 to a property off Highway 215 in Charleston, where a man reported that Brown had run over his brother. When the deputy arrived, he called in emergency medical services, which transported the injured man to a hospital for treatment.
