If the NFL wanted fireworks to kick off the 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have certainly delivered.

The Eagles lead the Cowboys, 21-20, at halftime.

Before the first snap of the game, Eagles star defensive tackle Jalen Carter was ejected for spitting on the chest of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott .

A stunning start to the opener in Philly and Carter's absence was immediately felt.
