An RSPCA NSW whistleblower has claimed animal cruelty reports are being ignored by inspectors who are “watching Netflix” as puppies are on the “verge of dying”.
The allegations came from an industry insider who claimed RSPCA NSW has refused to address hundreds of animal cruelty reports since June.
The whistleblower alleged about 50 RSPCA NSW workers were “sitting at home watching Netflix” after being told not to respond to animal suffering reports due to a funding feud, despite wanting to work.
The RSPCA has denied there is a "tools down" strategy at play to receive more funding.
