Campbell County will secede from Wyoming and become the nation’s 51st state. That was the purpose of a resolution scheduled to be signed Thursday by five state legislators, the county commissioners and elected officials of Gillette and Wright. And while the document is written tongue-in-cheek, the anger is real, spawned by the Wyoming Community College Commission’s rejections last month of the county’s application for a community college.
