Hollywood Police made a major arrest as the department cracks down on illegal street takeovers.

At least two public intersections in the City of Hollywood came to a standstill on Aug. 18, 2024, when police say a reckless driver took it over to perform burnouts, doughnuts and drifts.

In a video shared by Hollywood Police, you can see someone hanging out of the passenger side window while several people look on and even take video.

A year later, the streets are quieter after police say detectives caught Jeremiah Luis Hernandez, 22, the alleged driver behind the wheel of a Nissan 350Z during a street takeover. Hernandez is now facing serious charges, including felony driving in a coordinated street takeover. BSO
