The Weather Authority is tracking the threat of strong to severe storms late Friday night into Saturday. A few areas of showers and storms look to move in starting across northwest Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee, mainly after 9 p.m. These storms will drop southeast across the area through Saturday. The strongest storms may bring gusts greater than 50 mph, hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.
