SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - A cold front will be moving through the ArkLaTex on Friday night and Saturday. It will likely produce some scattered thunderstorms that could bring some strong winds and hail. Much cooler temperatures are expected to invade the area behind the front this weekend.

Storm timing: Thunderstorms will begin to develop along the front Friday evening near sunset over the northern half of the area in Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas. These will bring the biggest concern for severe weather and could include some hail and wind gusts of 30 to 50 mph.
