DAK Prescott's touching tribute to his mom on Thursday was picked up by NBC cameras.

Prescott's mother Peggy died from cancer in 2013 while he was still in college.

Peggy would've turned 64 on Thursday, the same day Prescott's Dallas Cowboys opened the NFL season.

And the Cowboys quarterback had a touching tribute to his mom during the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

A close-up image on NBC's feed showed the tribute.

"Happy birthday mom," Prescott had written on the tape around his wrist.

And fans loved the message from the Cowboys quarterback.

One posted, "Absolutely love Dak Prescott, do it for 4."

Another said, "No matter what you think of Dak, he’s a class act and good guy."
