OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The administrator of the Douglas County Health Center has been disciplined by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

Erin Nelson also ran pharmacy services for the hospital.

State investigators found errors in prescriptions filled by an unlicensed pharmacy tech working at the county hospital.

Last year, those filling mistakes included the wrong quantity 17 times, and the wrong drug three times.

The disciplinary report states Nelson knew the tech didn’t have a license yet, but let them fill prescriptions another day, which led to similar errors.

The DHHS investigation doesn’t say if any patients were harmed by the errors.

The disciplinary action states Nelson lied to a department investigator.
