One of Scotland’s most celebrated Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilleries, is marking its 200th anniversary with the launch of an exceptionally rare 42-Year-Old bottling. Only 150 bottles are being released, each priced at £7,500. ‌

The whisky was originally distilled in 1983, shortly before the distillery was closed. Having matured in European oak casks for more than four decades, it has now been bottled as the first limited edition since Port Ellen reopened last year after more than 40 years of silence. ‌

The relaunch signalled a new chapter for the distillery, with spirit once again flowing through its stills. ‌
